Are you YETI for Christmas?

Hi Friends! Hope you all are well. Today, I'm sharing my first Christmas card for this year. I took a step and get into the Christmas spirit before Halloween and Thanksgiving! I simply couldn't resist! 😅 I played along this week's MFT Sketch Challenge #506 and here is my take...

I colored the cute little yeti and gift boxes from the BB Beast Friends stamps set using distress ink. I then used the coordinating die set to cut them out. According to the sketch, I cut out a layer of card with scalloped border using the Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangle STAX Die-namics set from MFT.

On the layer card, I used Cracked Pistachio, Evergreen Bough and Salty Ocean distress inks to create a winter-snowy-scene. First, I cut out a small circular piece of masking paper and place it on top left corner of the layer card to create a 'moon' image. Then, I started blending the distress inks and filled the background. To have a snowfall effect, I splattered the card with water and let it dry. I love this sentiment from this set and thought it would be perfect for first Christmas card. I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Finally, I adhered all together on the base card.

Hope you like my card! Thanks for stopping by.

Wishing you all a great day!

Guest Designing at Addicted to CAS #134 - Birthday card

Hi There! I'm thrilled and honored to be guest designing at Addicted to CAS this week. I'm so happy to be chosen as the winner of Bird Challenge and was offered to do a guest spot. Thank you so much Barb, for this great opportunity! This week's code word is BUBBLES!

I love to make birthday cards and this peeking bunny birthday card is really a quick one to make! First, I stamped and colored the bunny from Gerda Steiner - Hoppiness set with distress ink. I cut out the image with the coordinating die. There are more peeking bunnies stamps in this set but this little nerdy one caught my attention.

Then, I stamped the wood fence image on the bottom of a white base card and did a simple Copic coloring. Next, I used Penny Black Bubble dies to cut out two speech bubbles. I picked my favorite color combo for the bubbles. The sentiment is from the Papertrey Ink Fillable Frame Set #6. I stamped them on the speech bubbles and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Once done, I adhered everything together on the base card. That's all! :)

I hope you enjoyed this card! Hop over to Addicted to CAS for great inspiration by the DT and do play along with this fun challenge! Happy crafting!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
Hugs! :)

MFT Creative Olympics - Freestyle Winter

Hi There! I'm sharing a cute birthday card which I made for the MFT Creative Olympics second event. It's a freestyle round and it has to be in winter theme. I used this week's sketch from MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #372 for inspiration. Here is my take!

I stamped and colored the cute bear and little gift box from BB Bitty Bears stamps set using distress inks. I die cut the images using their coordinating dies. Then, I stamped on the tree from MFT Modern Trees stamp set on a piece of card and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Next, I inked the background using distress inks. I used the blending tool to blend the three soft colors and create a wintery sky ombre.

Once done with the background, I used the MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle to cut out the card. I also inked the same colors on the base card. Then, I adhered the bear next to the tree and stamped the sentiment directly on the card. I used the 'A little something for you' sentiment from the BB Bitty Bears stamp set. I love this sentiment as it goes well with the bear holding a small gift on his hands. To finished off the card, I used the glitter pen to make the ground filled with little snow. That's all! I hope you enjoyed my card.

MFT Creative Olympics - Stamping Slalom

Hi There! Time to have more fun with MFT goodies! I’m so happy and excited to take part in the MFT Creative Olympics Challenge - Stamping Slalom. It’s a special challenge where you have to make a card with three or more of MFT stamps set. That's sooo fun!! I made this card as soon as I saw the post on their blog. But it took some time for me to update here due to few errands. Busy mommy! :P Here is my take on the first event!

First, I stamped the little teddy from Playful Pups stamps set and masked it. Then, I stamped the girl with gift box from Pure Innocence Happy Birthday to You stamps set followed by the balloons from BB Happy Hippo stamps set. I heat embossed all the images with clear embossing powder and colored them with distress inks. I did little paper piecing on the gift box ribbon using pattern paper from MFT True Blue Houndstooth paper pack.

For the sentiment, I create an ombre background on a white card stock using Festive Berries and Spun Sugar distress ink. Then, I placed the birthday die cut from the MFT Cause for Celebration dies set and cut out the word. To give a little dimension, I made another piece of it using pink card stock and layered the ombre word on top of it. Then, I picked the Happy sentiment from BB Bitty Bears stamp set and stamped it on top of the card. I adhered the birthday sentiment and finished off the card by adding some dots on the balloons using gold and silver gel pen.

Thanks for stopping by! For more information, check out MFT Blog. I’m hoping to make one for the second event too! :)

Season's Greeting - Christmas

Hi there! Today I'm playing along with a fun challenge at Lawn Fawnatics blog, to create a scene. I enjoyed making this cute and fun Christmas card using Lawn Fawn products. Here is my take!
I stamped the penguin from Lawn Fawn - Winter Penguin stamps set and colored using distress inks. The gifts and trees are from Lawn Fawn - Home for the Holiday stamps set. I used the Memento Dual markers along with the MISTI tool to create the shades on trees. Love how it turned out! :) Next, I cut out the images with their coordinating dies.

Next, I die cut the base card with Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangle border and few layers of snow base using Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside border dies and inked with distress ink. Finished off by stamping the sentiment from Home for Holiday stamps set.

It's Your Birthday!

Hello! Hope you all had a great weekend. Today, I want to share a birthday card for the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge. I used the color palette from this week's Color Throwdown challenge. But unfortunately I couldn't enter in this week's challenge as I was little late for the submission :( Such a beautiful color combo. I missed it! Anyways, here is my take!

To begin, I stamped and colored the hippos, balloons and cute little bow using distress inks. They are from the My Favourite Things - Happy Hippo stamps set. I love playing with these stamp. They are darn cute! Next, I cut them out with their coordinating dies. I used the sentiment from the same stamp set.

Next, I die cut the word ‘birthday' from the My Favorite Things Die-namics - Cause for Celebration set. This set has gorgeous script font dies for all celebration. I adhered few layers of the dies together to give some dimension. The semi-circle frame was created using Sizzix Circle die cuts and the patterned papers I used for this card are from American Crafts - Pebbles Phrase Cards.

Happy Hippo Bird-Day!

Hello! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Today, I'm sharing another birthday card inspired by this week's My Favorite Things Color and Sketch challenge. I had a fun time making this card. I'm in love with the adorable hippos and birdies from the Happy Hippo stamps set from MFT. Can't wait to play with the rest of the stamps! Let's move on to the card.
It's been quite a while since I used patterned papers on my cards. So, I had to look on my patterned papers stash to pick the right matching color patterned papers for this card. I used wonky stitched die from MFT to create a border. Then, I colored the hippos and birds using distress inks and cut them with coordinating dies from the stamps set. Next, I used circle dies to cut out few frames and made a round window for the bird to peek through and view the scene. Finished off by stamping the sentiment and adhering the images using adhesive foams.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week ahead! :)

Today, I'm sharing this pretty birthday card for little girls. I used two colors to make this card inspired by Make My Monday challenge and used this week's sketch from Case This Sketch challenge.

Next, I created a base for them using pink shade inks and stamped on the birthday sentiment from AveryElle - Party Animal stamps set. I finished off the card by adding some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh - Sweetheart Mix and Marshmallow White.

Let's Party! - Birthday

Hi friends. CASology is celebrating 5th year anniversary with a fun blog hop! Do check out the blog hop and join in the celebration. This week the cue is Balloon and here is my take on it.

This cute little kitten image is from the Paper Smooches - Chubby Chums stamps set and I colored it using distress ink. The balloons and the word 'Party' are picked from Ms. Sparkle & Co. Paperie - Celebrate stamps set. I mix and matched the sentiments from both stamp sets for this card. The balloons are inked up with Simon Says Stamp inks. I finished of the card adding a sentiment on the inside of the card with few sparkle stamps.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend! :)

Make a Wish Birthday Card

Hi there! I have been doing a lot of things in my craft room. I'm a bit stressed out looking at my room and decided to purge out all the supplies. Today I'm sharing this birthday card featuring cute little mice from the Penny Black - Loads of Love stamps set. I used Copic to color the image and the sentiment I used is from Studio-G stamps set.

I used distress inks to create the background and made a gold glitter frame using Sizzix circle die cut as a border. Finished off this card by adhering the layer on a kraft cardstock using foam adhesive to give some dimension.

Floral Birthday Card

Hi friends! It feels good to get back into card making. I've been craving to do a card and I finally had a chance to make one last night for my friend’s daughter. She is turning five next week and she loves anything that is in pink or purple color. To make this card, I was inspired by the sketch at Seize the Sketch this week. So here is my take...

I made this card using papers from the American Crafts double sided paper pad. It’s a 6x6 pad with 24 bright and colorful papers which I think is perfect for birthday cards. The vibrant flower is from Recollections - Floral stickers and the leaves are hand stamped using Recollections mini rubber stamp set. I heat embossed the leaves and colored them. I love the little birdie from Hero Arts Fanciful Swirls clear stamps set. I colored it with Colorbox inks using aqua brush pen.

Celebrate with Cupcake!

Hello everyone!! Here is a quick card I made for my friend. I don't remember when was the last time I had cupcake! :P I adore this cute cupcake stamp from Recollections. I used some of my very favorite colors. Too much of stitch lines! I can't seem to resist adding stitch lines to all my cards. I'm linking up this card at Simon Says Stamp challenge - "Triangles".

Celebrate!

I'm so happy that I could find some time to craft on weekend. What a great feeling! :) Lately, I was inspired by The Play Date Cafe and their amazing challenge. I decided to play along with this week's color challenge : Cream, Melon and Cantaloupe. I love the color palette and made this card yesterday. Making a card with three colors was quite challenging for me but it was actually very interesting. I'm also entering this card in Seize the Birthday - Anything Goes Birthday challenge.
For this card, I used the Bold Basic patterned paper from Reollections. The birthday banner is adhered to the card using adhesive foam to give a little dimension. I love the birthday banner as it looks so cute on the card.
