Thanks for always being there!

Hi There! I'm here to share a CAS card which I made for this week's Color Throwdown #483 challenge. I just love this color combination of Coral, Green and Kraft. I'm also playing along this week's CASE this Sketch #262 challenge. Here is my take!

First, I blended the Abandoned Coral, Mowed Lawn and Vintage Photo distress inks on a white card stock and cut out the feathers using Simon Says Stamp Feather Craft Dies. To give a little dimension, I layered the feathers and spritzed some water on it. Then, I stamped on the sentiment from Inkadinkado - Thank You Words stamps set and finished off the card by adding a strip of black and white washi tape adjacent to the sentiment. That's all for today.

It's always fun to play along with sketch and color challenges! Great way to bring back the creative mojo! :P I hope you like my card today.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week ahead!

Hugs! :)

Big, Huge Thanks!

Hi friends, I’m joining the MFT Stamps 2017 Card Design Superstar contest! Click here for more details.  Amazed and overwhelmed to see all the entries. So many talented crafters. I’m glad to be a part of this fabulous contest. I’m taking part in the Clean and Simple Genius category. I hope I did my best.

I used the MFT Happy Hippo stamps set and MFT Little Lowercase Letters Dienamics for this card. I used the color palette from this week’s MFT Color Challenge #77. I was not sure if I could post my card for the color challenge this week as this contest is currently on going. So, I just used as my color inspiration for this card. (And also to keep me more focused on completing the card :P)

I stamped and colored the hippo using distress inks. This is my most favorite stamp from the stamp set. How happy he is! :) I used the MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle die to create the border and adhered it to a sky blue cardstock. Next, I planned the alphabet die cutting. I did ink blending using two different colors of distress inks to give more depth to each letter. I used Broken China and Salty Ocean. Then, I die cut the Big, Huge Thanks sentiment. I die cut the sentiment again on a pink card stock and adhered to the coordinating letters to give little dimension to the letters.

Finished off the card by adding some embellishment. I got this tiny flower confetti dot from a local craft store and I think it’s so perfect for this card. That’s all for the card. I hope you enjoyed it.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! :)

Notepad Holders - Teacher Appreciation Day

Hi friends, I took a little time off from my craft work to be with my family. Here I’m back! Teacher appreciation week is around the corner and I’ve made these cute little post-it note holder for my son’s daycare teachers.

I used the school theme patterned papers from Recollections. I inked all sides with coordinating color to give a distress look. I embellished the top with a circle scallop punch attached with a Thank You note. I adhered the embellishment using foam adhesive to give a little dimension to the holder. Then, I stamped the teacher’s name on a piece of notebook paper using Hero Arts alphabet stamp set. Finished off with contrasting color paper clips to hold the teachers name and black stitch lines around the front card.

Hope you have enjoyed and get inspired to create something special for the dedicated teachers who plays an integral role in educating and nurturing our kids.

I'm entering my work in this week's Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

Easy Daisy Thank You

Hey guys! This is my second post in Freshly Made Sketches. Well, I missed the last two sketches from FMS. I am super busy these days. It's hard to find time for my craft work. Anyways, I made this card for this week's sketch by Tui Nathan. I've to brief a little bit about this card as I used some of my favorite embellishments to make it.

I made some paper daisies last month which I thought would be perfect for dressing up cards. So, I used one of that to embellish the card :) and I'm crazy for swirls! Hence, I glued some paper swirls on two sides of the flower. Ribbons are my favorite piece of embellishment. But I get bored of using them just to tie bows. Here, I cut the ribbon into short pieces (about 2"), glued both ends together and nicely attached the ribbons to the side of the circle card. Then, I stamped on the "Thank You" sentiment to finished off the card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend! :)

Personalized Goodie Bags!

Time to impress your guests! :) These flat-bottomed goodie bags were specially made for my baby shower function. Believe me, it fits a lot of tiny and cutest favors! I stuffed each bag with a mini feeding bottle (filled with mini M&M's) , candies and milk chocolates. These bags comes in two vibrant colors - of course the blue and pink, the traditional colors that are commonly used for baby shower parties. I made them using blue cards...so yea it's pretty obvious... a baby BOY! :)

Well, different themes are available for your baby's arrival such as teddy bear, baby bassinet, baby rattle, safety pins, baby feeding bottles or yellow rubber ducky. I guess the diaper theme will be the least preferred one. I simply chose a baby crawling picture for the back of the bag. Below that, I add our signatures to express gratitude to our family and friends who made our day special!
