Thanks for always being there!

Hi There! I'm here to share a CAS card which I made for this week's Color Throwdown #483 challenge. I just love this color combination of Coral, Green and Kraft. I'm also playing along this week's CASE this Sketch #262 challenge. Here is my take!

First, I blended the Abandoned Coral, Mowed Lawn and Vintage Photo distress inks on a white card stock and cut out the feathers using Simon Says Stamp Feather Craft Dies. To give a little dimension, I layered the feathers and spritzed some water on it. Then, I stamped on the sentiment from Inkadinkado - Thank You Words stamps set and finished off the card by adding a strip of black and white washi tape adjacent to the sentiment. That's all for today.

It's always fun to play along with sketch and color challenges! Great way to bring back the creative mojo! :P I hope you like my card today.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week ahead!

Hugs! :)

Great Job!

Hi There! I'm sharing a quick card today. I love kraft color and it's been a while since I used kraft as a base for my cards. I love using kraft as it goes well with any primary colors. Here is one for you...

I did a background stamping using the little school themed images from Paper Smooches - Smarty Pants stamp set. They are just adorable. I dabbed the edges with distress ink and set as the base card. Next, I stamped on the professor image from the same stamp set and colored him using Copic markers. I have a very limited count of copic markers on hand :| . I think I did a better job! :P

Then, I had this pre-cut speech bubble in my stash so I used it to stamp on the sentiment. Finished off by adding some glossy accent on his huge bubbly eyes. A quick and simple card! I hope you all like it!

I'm playing along...

Thank you so much for stopping by! :)

Ruff Days Are Easier With Friends

Hi There! I’m sharing this card which I made for this week’s My Favorite Things Sketch challenge featuring cute puppies :) I used the color palette from this week’s Color Throwdown challenge. I just love the colors. Yes! Fall colors! Love the combo of Rust, Orange, Green and Aqua.

To begin with, I stamped the puppies from MFT Playful Pups stamps set and colored them using distress ink. I cut them out using coordinating dies. Next, I cut out a base card using MFT Wonky Stitched Border die to create a scene. I inked the background with distress inks and adhered the colored images. Then, I stamped on the sentiment from the same stamps set.

Once I’m done with the scene, I cut out a round frame using Sizzix Circle dies and stamped another sentiment from the MFT Happy Hippo stamps set. I thought it would add more fun to the card by pairing the sentiments from two stamps set. I enjoyed making this card! It's so true. Rough days are easier with friends! :)

I'm Stuck On You

Hello friends! It’s a great challenge to make a CAS + one layer card. But that’s the fun! So many ideas popped up while making this card. Well, it really didn’t take much time either. Here’s my card.

I used the colors from Color Throwdown challenge and cute cactus plants from Lawn Fawn - Stuck on You stamp set on this card. The pots and plants are stamped with the MISTI stamping tool using dye inks. It turned out so vibrant after several times stamped using MISTI. Love MISTI! :) It’s my new favorite toy!

The sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn - Stuck on You stamp set and I add the block letters from Ms.Sparkle & Co alphabet stamp set. I tied on some twine on the top of the card. Finished off by adding some dimensional dots from EK Success - Rainbow Dots.

Linking the card in the following challenges:
Thank you so much for stopping by and happy crafting! :)

Happy Summer!

Hello! Coming back after a short break :P Today, I'm sharing a card that is full of yummylicious watermelon pieces! I can't resist to play with this adorable images from Lawn Fawn - Happy Summer stamps set.
I created a stamped background using the watermelon image on to the distress watercolor cardstock. Then, die cut the card with large stitched rectangular border from Lawn Fawn. I colored the watermelon pieces and base with distress inks. Next, I die cut the Happy sentiment from Lawn Fawn and stacked few of the words to give a little dimension. The word summer from the Happy Summer stamps set and I stamped the ants image on the inside of the card. Added a piece of watermelon too!

I'm entering this card in the following card challenges:

Merry Christmas

Hi there, I'm back in action! This is my very first Christmas card. I'm a big fan of Christmas characters and the bold colors and glitters of Christmas. So I decided to make a Chirstmas greeting card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge using the color combo from Color Throwdown challenge.
The snowflakes background paper is from Recollections - All Seasons paper pad and I inked up the edges using distress ink. Then I worked on the sentiment and snowman from Inkadinkado - Christmas Characters stamp set. The image is stamped using Stazon black ink and colored with aqua painter and I adhered it on a green striped patterned paper from DCWV -The Basic Stack paper pad.

I'm entering this card in Simon Says Stamp challenge - Let It Snow

Well, I badly wanted to make a similar card using the traditional Christmas colors. Hopefully I can post more here!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday! :)
Thanks and bye for now.

Get Well

Hi! I made this card today to get some creative mojo flowing. It's been a while since I touched my quilling kit. I was little confused whether to use quilled elements or buttons... but for some reason I ended up using both. It's not exactly what I had pictured in my head. Well, this sometimes happens! The reason is because I desperately wanted to use the leaf stamp because it's just so cute. So, I used buttons to pop out like flower buds and stamped the flower image on the background. Then I made a small quilled butterfly and attached above the sentiment. Little messed up though! But, I'm still happy with what I have done :) I used Freshly Made Sketches sketch and the colors from the Color Throwdown challenge. Here is my card!

Miss You Like Crazy

Hi all! I'm back with a Miss You card. Not only miss you...It's "Miss You Like Crazy"! Such a fun and cute sentiment. I was inspired by this week's Freshly Made Sketches sketch and the colors from Color Throwdown challenge. So here is my take...

I inked my base card using distress ink with two different blue/turquoise tones and allowed it to dry. Then, I pulled out some lovely grid patterned papers from the Simple Stories Snap! Life Basics paper pad to ink up the sentiment. I'm a big patterned paper lover and I'm so attracted to the bold and bright colors of this paper pad. There are also lots of other cool, trendy and vibrant patterned papers from Snap! Life collection such as dots, stripes, mini calenders and etc. Totally awesome!

Next, I simply stamped the sentiment on three different colors of grid patterned papers. Then, I cut the letters out and adhered them nicely on a piece of gray colored grid paper.
I made a small arrow with a little heart shape on it and placed it on top of the card. I thought it would be cool to use a paper clip to hold the layers together. So I tried that and it looks so perfect!. As a final touch, I added glossy accent to the cute little hearts and some white gel pen stitch lines to frame the sentiment.

I'm also linking up my card at the Simon Says Stamp challenge which is "Anything Goes".

Thanks for stopping and have a nice weekend!

Best Wishes

I hope everyone having a great weekend. Last night, I made this Best Wishes card using this week's Freshly Made Sketches sketch and the colors from Color Throwdown challenge: Tempting Turquoise, Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, Chocolate Chip and White. These colors are perfect for summer! I've made quite a lot of beach card. So, I've decided to make a simple greeting card this time. I got everything from a single pattern paper. It's actually a double sided paper from K&Company. The patterned paper and base card are edged in Chestnut Roan Chalk ink. I added a little ribbon and its done.

Grow Where You're Planted

Hi everyone! :) I made a card with the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches this week. The first thing that popped into my mind when I saw this sketch was the Yin-Yang symbol! It's a totally different sketch by Jennifer Brum. Anyways, my idea was to try some soft colors for the card. Thus, I used a lovely color combination from Color Throwdown challenge this week : Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Pretty In Pink and Cool Caribbean. This is the first time I'm entering a color challenge. Do check out their fabulous creations!

I bought some cute tag paper pads from Michaels recently and I picked a lighter color tag to stamp on the sentiment. I love the sentiment "Grow where you're planted" and decided to use it for this card.  I embossed the flowers, leaves and the sentiment with clear embossing powder. I couldn't resist doing some faux stitching around the images as well as the tag! I finished off the card with a thread around the pink patterned paper and tied a little bow. That's all!

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping by!
